人物（ポートレイト、ファッション）、静物（美術、工芸）、空間、建築、風景まで幅広いジャンルの撮影対象を、独自の光の技術で捉えた存在感ある写真で表現。
舞台、美術をはじめとした日本文化全般に造詣が深く、それぞれのジャンルのアーティストとの長期にわたる親交は、図録やポスターの制作のみならず、
企画展示の共同作業としても結実している。アーティストの精神性と作品の魅力に現代性を与える独自の写真は、海外の美術関係者の関心をも高い。
NHKの８K映像制作にも参加し、スチールだけでなくmusicPVなどの制作も行い、広告、エディトリアル、web等、ボーダーレスに活動の場を広げている。

Minamoto captures a wide range of photographic objects from persons (portraits and fashion shoots),
object d’art (arts and crafts), space, architecture to landscape with the lighting technique all his own.
Deeply immersed in all aspects of Japanese culture including visual art, architecture and performing arts,
he has nurtured profound personal connections with the artists portrayed in each genre,
while collaborating closely with the artists themselves in the process.
His unique photography that sheds a modern light on the artist and his/her crafts garnered attention from art experts overseas,
including those at Musée du quai Branly (Paris), Musée Guimet (Paris),
and Asian Art Museum (San Francisco) which he worked with.
He also has worked with NHK’s 8K television project and has expanded his repertoire to music PV, film direction, advertising and magazines.
